Dissolvable threads created on the principle of surgical threads, thanks to their unique composition they stimulate in particular the production of collagen in the tissues, responsible for skin rejuvenation processes. They can be used to lift the face, neck, décolleté, breasts, buttocks and legs and abdomen. They are inserted under the skin using a very fine needle through 1-2 punctures.
Recommendations and adverse effects after the application of PDO First Lift threads
There are no special recommendations or precautions after the procedure. Slight redness and bruising may appear at the injection sites, disappearing after an hour. Initially, the thread may be slightly felt under the skin.
- Barb Threads
Constructed from polydoxinone, the threads with bi-directionally converging hooks that act as a scaffold to support the tissues, are inserted subcutaneously using an ultra-thin needle - through 1-2 punctures. These threads are used for non-surgical lifting of the face and selected areas of the body, especially those with stretch marks and scars. Their use can be a good complement to other aesthetic medicine treatments.
- Silhouette threads - Soft
Made from polylactic acid and glycolic acid, bi-directional sutures with anchor cones are completely bio-absorbable. They are used to improve the appearance of the cheeks, jawline, zygomatic region of the face and eyebrows. They are inserted under the skin with a needle with a maximum of several insertions.
Recommendations after treatment with Barb and Silhouette - Soft threads:
- use of UV filters,
- optional use of analgesics and antibiotic therapy,
- Cold compresses are recommended at the implantation site for 6 hours,
- for 3-5 nights you should sleep on your back,
- no dental treatment, cosmetic treatments, facial massage or contact sports for 7 days,
- chewing gum, eating hard foods and opening the mouth vigorously should be avoided for 4 weeks.
Possible adverse effects persisting a few days after treatment with the above-mentioned threads:
- tenderness of the treated areas,
- slight reduction in facial expressions,
- Swelling, bruising or haematomas in the course of the threads,
- visible injection sites, slight asymmetry.
