Needle mesotherapy has been used for years in aesthetic medicine as an excellent method of improving the appearance of the skin and stopping and reducing the effects of ageing. It has a wide range of applications in the local treatment of skin lesions and also in prevention .

Needle mesotherapy - how does it work?

Needle mesotherapy involves the direct intradermal injection of therapeutic substances or anti-ageing preparations with a very fine needle and at the appropriate depth . Mixtures of skin revitalising and regenerating substances are used for injection. The products are selected according to the patient's needs and include: vitamins, amino acids, oligoelements, filler and polylactic acid, enzymes, nucleotides and tissue extracts.

 

Needle mesotherapy - when to use?

Needle mesotherapy is used as part of the prevention of skin ageing, significantly delaying the appearance of wrinkles by stimulating skin cells to produce collagen and elastin. It is also an essential treatment to complement the use of any type of filler or laser. It can also be the first step towards improving the condition and appearance of the skin, its rejuvenation, revitalisation.

Needle mesotherapy can be successfully recommended for the presence of:

  • wrinkles around the eyes, mouth, neck and décolleté,
  • mesh of wrinkles on the skin,
  • flabby skin that is losing its natural elasticity,
  • dehydrated and dry skin,
  • skin that lacks radiance and looks tired,
  • cellulite,
  • stretch marks,
  • hair loss.

Needle mesotherapy can also be:

  • a preventive treatment - to slow down the skin ageing process and make it look prettier,
  • preparation of the skin for sunbathing or a means of improving its appearance after sunbathing,
  • a way to condition the skin after childbirth and/or breastfeeding,
  • sustaining the effects of aesthetic medicine treatments.

Contraindications to needle mesotherapy treatments

Contraindications to needle mesotherapy are:

  • heart and vein disease,
  • epilepsy,
  • skin hypersensitivity, inflammation,
  • pacemaker,
  • metal elements in the body,
  • pregnancy.

Needle mesotherapy - recommended frequency and site of application

Needle mesotherapy will only have the desired effect of improving the overall condition of the skin or eliminating a specific problem if it is performed in a series of several treatments - usually a series of 4-6 treatments, which should be repeated every 4-6 months.

Needle mesotherapy treatments are best carried out in winter or early spring, as the sun's rays can cause discolouration at the injection site.

Needle mesotherapy can be administered to virtually any part of the skin, but is nevertheless most commonly used on: the face, eyelids, neck and décolleté, facial contours, hands, arms, thighs, buttocks and scalp.
