Acne what are the most effective treatments to get rid of painful pimples?
Acne peels are pimples and blackheads that were, until recently, associated with the hormonal storm during puberty. Nowadays, acne affects teenagers as well as adults. This condition has a hereditary basis, susceptible people produce more sebum and their skin becomes excessively cornified. When the exfoliated epidermis clogs the sebaceous glands, blackheads form. The facial skin becomes irritated and bacteria (Propionibacterium Acnes) begin to proliferate in the hair follicles. An additional reason for the formation of painful blackheads on the face or body is a stressful lifestyle. Treatment of this skin condition is not easy and is multidirectional. In the office
SUNGATE BEAUTY & SPA specialists will help you choose the right treatments to get rid of bothersome pimples and the scars left behind.
What is the cause of acne, is it rosacea?
The cause of acne in adults is not entirely known. Doctors assume that some people simply have an individual tendency to overproduction of sebum, e.g. as a result of hormonal disturbances. The sebaceous glands may be aggravated by stress (the skin is one of the organs that reacts strongly to psychological stimuli) and also by the use of certain drugs - antidepressants or hormonal drugs, especially corticosteroids.
How does acne develop?
There are three stages in the development of acne. Depending on the severity of the disease, the lesions on the skin may take different forms. The first stage of acne is blackheads, these are white or black spots, called lips. They can be found on the face, but also on the shoulders, décolleté and back, the areas with the most sebaceous glands. The second stage is papules and pustules, a moderately severe form of acne. The resulting lesions on the skin are a moderately severe form of acne, the skin shows raised and red lesions, this is inflammation around the sebaceous glands. The last stage of infection involves the deeper layers of the skin, there are nodules of sino-red colour in the centre filled with pus - these are deep cysts leaving permanent scars.
How to treat acne what should be the skin care?
If home care treatments do not work and new blackheads continue to appear, you should go to a specialist, a dermatologist, for help as soon as possible. Removing pimples requires time and patience. The dermatologist recommends an antibacterial treatment (preparations containing all-trans vitamin A, tretinoin and its derivatives, azelaic acid or benzol peroxide, creams with zinc oxide, clindamycin, erythromycin) prescribing ointments and topical gels whose purpose is to empty the glands of sebum and reduce sebum production. Sometimes these remedies can cause side effects: irritate the skin, increase its sensitivity to light, so the doctor's recommendations must be followed carefully.
It is important to follow a light hepatic diet that does not stress the liver, to monitor blood test results for liver enzymes and pancreatic lipid levels and to exclude alcohol altogether.
