Facelift - is a procedure to rejuvenate and properly hydrate the face, improving its features in areas where the skin loses its elasticity and firmness with age. This term covers 2 types of facial rejuvenation treatments, namely:

  • facelift performed by surgery,
  • A facelift performed using a method without the use of a scalpel, the so-called soft lift or soft lift.

Facelift at our SUNGATE Beauty & Spa Salon

in Warsaw

In our Warsaw Salon, we perform a facelift using a non-surgical method with the use of fillers, most often with a filler that, in addition to having an optimal, natural filling effect on the subcutaneous tissue causing optimal hydration of the face, regenerates adjacent tissues, stimulating the body to produce natural collagen, which is essential for proper skin cell tension and a youthful appearance.

Facelift - stages

A non-surgical facelift is a procedure that consists of two basic stages:

  • the first stage of such a facelift is a thorough medical analysis of the facial changes, examination of the facial proportions and determination of the limits of the procedure in terms of the final rejuvenation effect, as well as the administration of a local anaesthetic in the form of a preparation rubbed into the skin
  • The second stage is the actual treatment performed with a cannula (a soft, pace-tipped needle) through which a filler-based preparation is administered, usually to the deeper layers of the skin along the chin line, jawline and along the cheeks at the ear border.

For a proper facelift treatment with filler, 1-2 injections are sufficient, which can be easily masked with everyday make-up.

Main contraindications to facelift surgery

Although it is a very safe procedure, the obstacles from medical indications to performing a non-surgical facelift are:

  • pregnancy and breastfeeding,
  • diabetes,
  • autoimmune diseases,
  • tumours.

Non-surgical facelift treatment - who is it recommended to?

A facelift achieved through the implantation of a filler or other filler, is recommended for those wishing to achieve an effect:

  • restoration of correct facial proportions and symmetry,
  • modelling of the cheeks and/or chin,
  • modelling of the facial oval,
  • smoothing of nasolabial furrows,
  • to eliminate the "hamster bag" effect,
  • softening of features through adequate hydration of the face.

Facelift - what comes after it?

Due to the high density of the filler used and the natural ageing process of the skin, the effects of a non-surgical facelift last from 12 to 24 months. After this time, in order to maintain the effect and optimal hydration of the face, it is worth repeating the treatment, replenishing the filler absorbed into the tissues.

The positive effect of a facelift is visible immediately after it is performed. A minority of patients may experience minor petechiae and bruising at the cannula insertion sites, however, these disappear spontaneously after a few days. The full effect of a facelift in terms of improvement in the appearance and quality of the facial skin, its hydration and tone, is achieved within a few days to a month after it is performed.

Importantly, after a facelift with a natural filler, you can return to your daily activities immediately, without the risk that the result of the procedure will not be as good as expected.

If necessary, a facelift can be retouched at any time according to needs and expectations, thus maintaining the effect similar to a surgical facelift, even for many years.
